The World Focuses on Chinese City Construction

China is now recognized as the world¡¯s largest construction market with an annual construction value amounting to over USD 200 billion. At the same time, the urban greenbelt in China has undergone enormous development and expansion. Urban greenbelt coverage has now surpassed 30% and will reach 40% by 2010 which equates to10m2 per capita of public green space. It is estimated that the Chinese government will invest more than RMB200 billion both in urban greenbelt construction and related fixed assets between 2005-2010. Professional landscaping of urban greenbelt areas has proved to be an important aspect of building competitive cities and attracts vast government investment - thus bringing huge business opportunities to the landscaping and gardening industry.
